Ian Christie speaks at Communicate 2013 conference
As part of a plenary session on 'liberating stories' concerning environmentally conscious lifestyles and value, Ian Christie gave a presentation at the recent Communicate 2013: Stories for Change conference. Ian's talk essentially drew on the SLRG ELiciT project work and presented its understanding that people who are undergoing significant transitions in their lives (e.g. moving home, arrival of first child) seem to be particularly receptive to messages and incentives concerning sustainable consumption...Read more

Tim Jackson and Peter Victor to present their new report at CANSEE 2013
The report "Green Economy at Community Scale", published by the Metcalf Foundation, explores the concept of the green economy as a potential solution to multiple challenges including climate change, biodiversity loss, resource scarcity, and financial instability. It is drawn from the authors’ original analysis of the flow of natural and financial assets at the national level. It analyses conceptual foundations, and provides empirical evidence, for more sustainable community-based economic activities...Read more
Tim Jackson at Brazilian book launch of Prosperity Without Growth, 28 Oct 2013
The Brazilian translation of Prosperity Without Growth was officially launched on 28 October 2013 in São Paulo. With its title "Prosperidade Sem Crescimento – Vida Boa em um Planeta Finito", it is one of 17 translations of Tim's economics for a finite planet.
Ian Christie at Unilever Roundtable for Sustainable Living, 23 October 2013
On 23 October 2013, Ian Christie took part in the latest roundtable in a series organised by Unilever on their sustainable living strategy. Drawing on insights from academic research and community practice on behaviour change, values and sustainable consumption, Ian presented findings from the SLRG and RESOLVE programmes and has been a contributor to each of the strategy workshops held by the company to date with internal and external experts on sustainable consumption.
Tim Jackson gives sustainability lecture at Københavns Universitet, 23 October 2013, 10 am (CEST)

Tim Jackson gave Keynote at Triodos Dag 2013
The Belgian branch of Triodos Bank, the European reference in sustainable banking, celebrated its 20th anniversary with a public event – the Triodos Day, taking place in Brussels on Sunday 13 October.
