Sylvia Nissen is a Research Assistant with the SLRG and UNEP joint planning team developing the CYCLES for Sustainability survey. A political scientist and a keen mountaineer, her Honours thesis (University of Canterbury) provided a comparative analysis of environmental governance and emissions trading policies in NZ and the EU. Her Masters research (University of Monash, Australia- in submission) examined freshwater governance regimes. Her PhD (University of Canterbury) examines young citizens wellbeing and urban planning for sustainability.
