The invisible (r)evolutions
In societies based on immediate, multi-tasked interactions, where high speed living has become the norm, an increasing number of citizen groups worldwide have decided to develop and live sustainable alternatives to the prevailing principles of never ending growth and ever faster transaction.
The documentary by Phillippe Borrel explores some of these transition initiatives, looking for ways to return to an understanding and use of time that allows for mindfulness, patience and purpose.
The contextual framework of this exploration is provided by a multi-disciplinary set of scientists including Jeremy Rifkin, Pierre Dardot, Douglas Rushkoff, Rob Hopkins, Geneviève Azam and Tim Jackson.
The documentary is available on ARTE+7 stream (for audiences in France and Germany). For Video on Demand and DVD, see the ARTE Boutique.
